Ordes
The landscape of this area is made up of small villages amongst an array of rivers and streams.
The municipality of Ordes is located in the centre of the province of A Coruña, bordering Cerceda and Carral to the north, Mesía, Abegondo and Frades to the east, Oroso to the south, and Tordoia to the west.
Ordes is home to a large number of rivers and streams. Most of the territory belongs to the river Lengüelle basin, which runs, before joining the river Tambre, along the western border with the municipality of Tordoia, Its most important tributary is the river Cabrón, which crosses almost the entire municipality from north to south. At the same time, the most important tributaries are the Cestaños, del Bosque and del Pequeño streams. Similarly, the river Samo, also a tributary of the river Tambre, runs along the eastern border with the municipalities of Mesía and Frades, with the most important tributary being the Buxán stream.
To the northwest of the municipality there are two reservoirs, Vilasenín and Vilagudín, located on the border with the municipality of Cerceda.
