eaving from the same port of Curuxeira, we cross this illustrious city via Calle Real, leaving the naval-military area to our right. In fact, in this first stage we will walk with the sea on our right almost the entire route.

Camino Inglés through hostels

The first part of the route shows the historic Ferrol, a coastal fort, and offers us a tour from one bank of the estuary to the other bank. Besides the monuments that the city offers, among them the co-cathedral of San Xiao and the convent of San Francisco, the pilgrims will find the monastery of San Martiño de Xubia, which was once a duplicity (of religious men and women). It is worth going to admire its three magnificent Romanesque apses. In its atrium, and in front of the 18th century tower, there is a medieval sarcophagus.

After 15 km we reach Neda. At this point you must decide whether to stay in this town or continue on to Pontedeume, which is 16 km further on.
